The Role
Department: Digital product development
This role is focused on delivering high-quality digital design and development for clients, particularly within the Arts and Entertainment sector. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of experience in digital design, with advanced proficiency in Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud and expertise in creating premium websites from wireframe to front-end build. A strong understanding of user-centric design and usability principles is essential, along with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines effectively.
Technical skills in HTML5/CSS3 and WordPress are required, while experience with additional CMS platforms is a plus. The role includes designing engaging websites and interactive content, planning with wireframes or prototypes, and collaborating closely with developers to ensure seamless project execution. Working as part of a team, the candidate must align designs with brand guidelines, report progress regularly, and contribute to improving departmental processes. Would require being proactive at discovering new ways of working for design and researching new tools that are popular in the industry also Experience in the Arts/Entertainment sector will be highly advantageous.
Key Responsibilities
Designing websites and other digital interactive content for AKA’s entertainment sector clients
Planning website designs using wireframes or interactive prototypes
Collaborating with the development team throughout the design process including occasional front-end build
General digital design for other online assets
Team
- Works effectively with others and contributes to team success
- Collaborate with head of department, brand guardian and other designers to ensure projects are on brand
- Reports on a weekly basis to the team on all project work in progress
- Has a thorough awareness and understanding of departmental objectives
- Influences the improvement process within the department
Other Duties as Assigned
